2010 Annual Cycling Stats - Pete Carapetyan

Riding with neighbors who invited me out for this morning's ride to Lake Pflugerville.

Estimated miles for this calendar year: 4600 miles. I was targeting 5000 miles, but I kinda got side-tracked for a few weeks moving myself to Austin. Still, this is  an all time high for me and something of an accomplishment.

My previous estimates were logged here, but taking the totals to date I'm sitting at 42,880 miles lifetime total estimate..

Will I continue? My goal is to continue at this same rate at least until I am 60, some 3 1/2 years from now. But it's not nearly as fun as I thought it would be when I was only riding 3000 miles a year. Getting just a little more rest between rides can make riding more fun.

So maybe I'll continue at this same rate into 2011, maybe not. No big deal either way, at this point. It's just a numbers game, at this level - there's not much of a benefit to anything above 3500 miles a year either way.

Have a great year in 2011! May you be doing something you truly love all the year!
